We’re looking for a Claims Handler for our client in Rotterdam. You’ll be part of an experienced international team that handles a wide range of claims under various standard insurance policies. It’s a challenging and versatile role in a professional work environment.

What will you do?

Handling a wide range of claims (particularly in the areas of charterer’s liability and FD&D).
Receiving, assessing, and verifying submitted claims and related documentation.
Ensuring accurate and well-organized record-keeping for all claim files.
Investigating and gathering relevant information, in consultation with clients and other parties involved.
Collaborating with colleagues in operations, underwriting, and finance to ensure the smooth handling of cases.
Preparing reports on claims activities, trends, and areas for improvement.

What do you offer?

A completed university degree in Maritime or Commercial Law, Shipping, Logistics, or (Marine) Insurance.
Excellent command of English (knowledge of Dutch is a plus).
Residing in or near Rotterdam.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the maritime insurance sector.
Analytical, proactive, meticulous, and a true team player.
Flexible work ethic and attention to detail.
